Classes operate at Graves Health & Sports Centre on a fortnightly basis on a Tuesday, 1.30pm-2.15pm. Classes are £3 per participant with carer free of charge. All attendees need to be accompanied by a carer.
Sessions are specifically designed to get older people moving and functioning better and is proving beneficial for people living with dementia. Associated benefits are social interaction, memory stimulation & use of foundation gymnastics skills.
“Our sessions are engaging for both the person living with dementia and also acting as a social outlet for the carer. We actively encourage participation through activity and song.” - Joanne Janes Love to Move deliverer.
Junior fitness
We believe a physically active child is much more likely to become a physically active adult.
We run the following supervised sessions for junior members aged 11-15 years to attend:
- Monday - Friday 3:45pm - 4:30pm
- Weekend Sessions coming soon
All junior gym users must complete a group introduction before using the gym independently. These sessions last 30 minutes and can be booked with a member of our team when joining.
Once a junior member has completed their introduction and received programme advice they can attend outside the above supervised sessions with a parent/guardian or appropriate adult (18+) on a ratio of a maximum four juniors per adult.
