About NICAS

NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes) offers structured, nationally recognised pathways to help climbers of all ages progress safely from indoor climbing to a lifelong passion for climbing and mountaineering.

NICAS Clip (Ages 6+)

NICAS Clip is ideal for children aged 6 and above. It focuses on using auto belays safely, boosting climbing confidence, and building essential movement skills through fun games and challenges.

This scheme lays the groundwork for more advanced climbing techniques and provides a great stepping stone for young climbers progressing through the NICAS levels.

About the course

NICAS Clip (Ages 6+): 

We will be launching this course in due course but will be beginning with a taster session!

Free taster sessions

We will be running a free taster sessions for NICAS Clip at the following time: 

• Wednesday 16th July
• 4.00pm - 5.00pm & 5.10pm - 6.10pm
