Our team follows the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework to deliver swimming lessons. We use fun and games to build water confidence from the first splash to a lifetime of loving swimming and being safe in the water.

Learning to swim is an essential life skill - if you can swim you can enjoy all of the exciting activities that the water has to offer. We offer lessons for all ages and all of our lessons are taught by qualified teachers. Our team follows the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework to deliver swimming lessons.

Children's lessons

To practice their swimming skills, all children on our swimming lesson programme benefit from free swimming in selected pool sessions.

We have three pools to enjoy at Romsey Rapids Sports Complex, a main pool, teaching pool and features pool for all the family to enjoy. As a leisure water facility, all our pools operate at 30 degrees celsius.

A variety of casual swimming opportunities are available at Romsey Rapids Sports Complex.
Lane swimming: £6.20 non-members / free for members

Additional information
We ask that you please arrive swim-ready for your session, with your costume on underneath your clothes. Changing rooms will be available for customers to get changed before and after the session, Lockers will be available for your belongings these do require a £1 coin. Hair dryers will be available free of charge.
On arrival, you will be issued with a band for your one-hour swim session when you head upstairs to check in on the bridge. Please follow the Paw Prints when you arrive.
Costa Coffee is open and a pay now, collect later facility for takeaway.
Please note all bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Under 8’s Policy
We operate a policy whereby every child under the age of 8 must be always supervised by a parent or adult (ages 16+). The ratio of adults to children under 8 is always 1 adult to two under 8’s.

Classes range from gentle to high impact so you can work hard and enjoy the support of the pool improving strength and fitness.

Aqua Fit
A total body workout, Aqua Fit ensures that you use every muscle in your body by using the water as resistance. The water takes out the impact of the moves. Work at your own levels & get results.
Aqua Natal
Aqua Natal is the perfect way to exercise safely during and after pregnancy. Fun and relaxing, giving you an opportunity to make new friends and feel weightless in the water.

Romsey & Totton Swimming Club
We welcome Romsey and Totton Swimming Club to our centre on a regular basis.
The club aims to provide lessons, recreational and competitive swimming for all ages, and provide a framework for all swimmers to reach their full potential. We aim to run a friendly Club and hope that everyone enjoys their swimming. We are affiliated to the Southern Counties Amateur Swimming Association and assigned to Hampshire County A.S.A

SWIMTAG
SWIMTAG is the latest, waterproof wearable technology that helps you track your swim strokes, lengths, times and calories burned. You can enter challenges and competitions to compete against other swimmers or your own personal best.

Keep up to date
SWIMTAG keeps you up to date with your progress and achievements; we will notify you of your new personal best as well as competitions and challenges. Plus you’ll get notifications from your local pool on the latest news and events.
Challenges
Challenge yourself and others to take on an epic swim. Select a start and finish date for your challenge and SWIMTAG will update your progress as you move along the map. Invite your swim mates to join you and you could find yourself racing across the Channel or around the Isle of Wight!
Rule the Pool
Rule the Pool is a weekly competition for you to compare your swim against past swims and measure your progression over time against yourself and others. You will be able to upload a 400m swim (using any stroke) every week during any public session. Your 400m time will be added to an interactive league table which is published every Sunday night.
