Sports at Romsey Rapids Sports Complex
From booking a court with friends or learning a sport for the first time our centre has something that’s right for you. We work hard with the National Governing Bodies of a number of sports to fill our facilities with ideas that are fun and engaging.
Most of our sports are available to book online.
To do this you'll either need to be a member, or sign up for a free Places Membership.
Squash
Squash is a fast sport that works you harder than most. Both squash and racquetball (same court, bigger racket, bigger ball) can be enjoyed from 5 years to adults. Occupying and moving in the same space as your opponent adds to the challenge of this sport.
Squash is included within the Premium membership offering and can be booked via the timetable.
All squash players have access to the main changing facilities at Romsey Rapids Leisure Centre. Please speak to a member of the team at reception for an access card if needed.

Table tennis
At Romsey Rapids Sports Complex, we offer table tennis as an additional sporting activity. Bookings are available all week and can be made via our timetable.

Older adult activities
We also offer a range of activities and clubs for our older adult members and visitors at Romsey Rapids Sports Complex - from our Steady and Strong classes to Zumba Gold, and Aqua Fit sessions in our pool.
Older Adult Activities at Romsey Rapids Sports Complex
Forever Active
A lower impact circuit type class working on all-over fitness, strength, some balance and postural work. Includes an extended warm-up and cool down with stretches.
This is a great class to get involved in and regular participation will only increase your active lifestyle! So come along!
Times:
- Monday 11.45am - 12.45pm and 1.00pm - 2.00pm
- Wednesday 11.45am - 12.45pm.
Steady and Strong
A falls prevention-based class working on leg strengthening, posture and balance thereby improving confidence in keeping independent in later life.
The use of small ankle weights is optional to ensure we are progressing you sufficiently as time goes on.
Classes are both seated, standing and involve some walking but you will always have the support of a chair if needed.

- Tuesday 1.00pm - 2.00pm
- Wednesday 1.45pm - 2.45pm
- Thursday 11.45am - 12.45pm and 1.00pm - 2.00pm
Older adults swim
A quieter lane swim session for older adults. Included in the Premium and Wellbeing membership offering and available on a pay as you go basis.

Zumba Gold
Times:

Forever Active Aerobics
A low impact, cardiovascular based class aimed at improving coordination, posture and cardiovascular health.
