Your gym is having an upgrade!

We’ve listened to our Members’ feedback and are making a significant investment in our gym, with improvements designed to better support your fitness journey.
The gym will be closed from the end of the day on Wednesday 21st October, with the aim to reopen on Friday 27th November.
During the refurbishment, a temporary gym will be available in the sports hall from Saturday 24th October, offering a range of equipment to help you stay active.

FAQ's
Why are we refurbishing the gym?
We are investing in the gym to create a better experience for our members which will involve providing new and modern fitness equipment.
Will the gym be closed during the refurbishment?
The gym will be closed on Thursday 22nd October & Friday 23rd October to allow time for a temporary gym facility to be set up within the Sports Hall.
The temporary gym will then be open from Saturday 24th October until Thursday 26th November while our gym refurbishment takes place.
Where can I train whilst the temporary gym is being set up on Thursday 22nd October & Friday 23rd October?
Your membership will allow you to utilise our other two gym facilities within the Kingston Contract (Weir Archer Athletics & Fitness Centre & Chessington Sports Centre) as well as Rainbow Leisure Centre.
Will the temporary gym affect activities currently taking place in the Sports Hall?
As the Sports Hall will be used as our temporary gym, some activities would have been:

Cancelled where no alternative space is available

Will the women’s only gym still be open as normal?
Yes, the women’s only gym will be open as normal
Why are we using the Sports Hall for the temporary gym?
The sports hall provides the most suitable space to create a temporary gym facility.
Will the temporary gym have the same equipment?
The temporary gym will include essential equipment to allow our customers to continue their workouts however there will be some changes to the usual layout and equipment available while the refurbishment takes place.
Will I still be able to do my Personal Training Sessions in the temporary gym?
Yes, PT sessions will still be able to take place in the temporary gym
Will Junior Gym still be on during the refurbishment?
Yes, Junior Gym will run as normal in the temporary gym during the refurbishment numbers may need to be slightly reduced
When will the new gym be open after the refurbishment?
We are planning to open the doors to our new refurbished gym on Friday 27th November.
