Meet your PTs
We've got a great team of personal trainers at Dover District Leisure Centre.
Arvy Dauginis
My name is Arvy and I’m a movement and wellbeing practitioner.
In my earlier years, I took a lot of interest in weightlifting and arm wrestling. I not only trained extensively, but I also competed in professional arm-wrestling competitions. I have always been active with a passion for fitness while growing up. During my fitness journey, I couldn't avoid injuries which led to setbacks, therefore I have a desire to learn and understand human body movement mechanics.
I qualified as a PT in 2014- I adapted my way of thinking and took on board as much information as I could so I could implement this myself and have a completely different approach to the body movement principles and the importance of having the right mindset when training.
My expertise is based on functional movement, mobility, strength, and flexibility combined with the application of mindful awareness of how to exercise in a way that suits your personality, optimises your capabilities, and meets your unique needs.
I specialise in the following areas:
- Join pain management
- Callisthenics
- Foot & ankle health
- Strength
- Mobility
- Flexibility
My qualifications include:
- Level 3 Personal Training
- Exercise Referral
- Strong Man
- TRX
Are you ready to transform your fitness journey and embrace a holistic approach to wellbeing? Let's create a personalised training plan that aligns with your goals and suits your unique needs.

Junior fitness
We believe a physically active child is much more likely to become a physically active adult.
We run a range of gym sessions and classes aimed specifically at our younger visitors. All junior gym users must complete a group introduction before using the gym independently. These sessions last 30 minutes and can be booked with a member of our team when joining.
We take fitness and wellbeing of our younger visitors as seriously as we do our adult members, that's why we have a range of activities specifically designed for junior members and visitors.
Junior gym
We run the following supervised sessions for children aged 11-15 years to attend. An induction must be completed as part of the first visit, and a parent or guardian must sign a Health Commitment Statement.
Session times and prices:
- Monday to Friday: 4.00pm - 5.00pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 11.00am - 12.00pm
- Pay as you move junior gym session: £4.40
- Junior members induction and sessions: Free
Junior members can also use the gym outside of supervised junior gym sessions if they have attended and completed an induction and are accompanied by a parent, legal carer/guardian or sibling (18+, 4 juniors per 1 adult) who is also a member.
Please be aware that under 16's are not permitted in the gym after 7pm on weekdays.
Booking junior fitness sessions
You can book onto any of our sessions by selecting your chosen activity and time under the 'Kids' tab on our timetable.
Once a junior member has completed their introduction and received programme advice, they can attend outside the above supervised sessions with a parent/guardian or appropriate adult (18+) on a ratio of a maximum four juniors per adult.
