We're dedicated to helping our members stay active in whatever way suits them. That's why we've developed a comprehensive plan to ensure we can provide you with the support you need.

We offer a range of memberships to suit you, depending on your needs, from Swim Only deals to our all-encompassing Premium Plus membership.

Gym support

To familiarise you with the gym and to get to know your goals we'd like to offer you a short group introduction to the gym. This can be booked with a member of the team when you join or at a later date via our website.

One-to-one support sessions can be booked with a member of the gym team. The sessions last 45 minutes and are chargeable.  

You are also welcome to book one free 15 minute programme review a month, just speak to a member of our team.

Our gyms are not always manned, but rest assured support is never far away. Our equipment is labeled with QR codes, which when scanned, provide you a video tutorial. Also look out for our latest workout boards in the gym, with a scannable code showcasing the latest workout to try.

You might have a particular event or goal, or you may just want a bit of extra encouragement during your personal training session. Our programmes

Long COVID Recovery Programme

Alfreton Leisure Centre is one of dozens of Places Leisure venues currently offering our Long COVID Recovery Programme.

Delivered by certified coaches, we will support you by offering safe and effective advice, exercise guidance and lifestyle hints to help break the cycle of Long COVID symptoms.

Our programme comes at no extra cost to Premium members.

Junior fitness

We believe a physically active child is much more likely to become a physically active adult. 

We run the following supervised sessions for children aged 11-15 years to attend:

  • Monday - Friday 4.00pm - 5.00pm
  • Saturday - Sunday 11.00am-12.00pm

Pre-booking is recommended. 

All junior gym users must complete a group introduction before using the gym independently. These sessions last 30 minutes and can be booked with a member of our team when joining. Junior gym introduction are run at the following times:

  • Tues and Thurs 4.30-5pm
  • Sat and Sun 11.30-12

Members (16+) can also accompany their children up to 6pm Monday to Friday and anytime at a weekend subject to some conditions. Ask a member of the team for details or call us on 01773 523325.
