With over 20 years experience in the fitness industry I have become a firm believer in working from the inside out. Make time for your health and your fitness and physique will follow. I am a keen runner, still do the odd marathon, and specialise in posture, strength for training for females, falls prevention and time management.

I currently work with all walls of life and have been incredibly successful helping members reach their goals, we keep it simple and effective and avoid the confusion of fad diets and unrealistic training regimes.

Gavin Povall

My main focus is fat loss, using a combination exercise, diet and nutrition to help my clients achieve this. I also specialise in sports training, specifically aimed at people looking to do Triathlons.  I use varying methods and strategies and tailor the session to meet the needs of the individual. People's goals may not differ greatly, but the path undertaken will be, and I will help to guide you down this.

I love to work in group environment, you get much better results when you are all in it together. I specialise in 5 week courses that are structured to make movement, health and fitness something you cherish as much as I do. I have a huge interest in nutrition and its effects on our health and well being and believe we are close to a breakthrough in finding out the truth behind the current obesity and diabetes crisis.

"I recently worked with Laura for 6 weeks (twice a week) to get over a shoulder injury and get ready for a kayaking expedition. Wow, what an amazing result we got in a limited time! I was worried I'd left it too late but Laura did everything I needed and the trip went so well, without issue. I went from having limited mobility and weakness to paddling almost 200km. I feel stronger than I have in a very long time. Laura paid attention to my Physio's assessment and how I was doing with kayaking session on the water. She took on board what the activity of kayaking meant in terms of specific movements, pressures and needs of the muscles and joints in my shoulder and elsewhere. With humour and gentle encouragement she pushed me further than I would have on my own, whilst making sure I didn't cause further injury. Laura was able to advise on diet, as I wasn't eating enough food and my energy was low and specifically not getting enough protein to help the muscles. I never realised weight training could achieve so much more than just bulking up muscle and such quick results for toning as well as strength and stability."
