We offer a wide range of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy in and out of the pool.
From activities to keep the little ones active during the school holidays, to parties for that special day, to fun and active ways to spend some quality family time together - we have something for everyone.

Inflatable Fun rules
- All participants will be given a buoyancy aid to wear throughout the activity and must be on poolside for the safety briefing before the session commences.
- Minimum age for this activity is 5 years old, and maximum age is 15 years old.
- Children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied in the water and throughout their visit to the centre by an adult (16 yrs+) Ratio: maximum of 2 under 8's per adult.
- All participants aged 8 and above must be a competent swimmer.
- Each session includes a safety briefing and a lifejacket fitting. Approximate time on the inflatable is 45 minutes.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your session to allow time for your buoyancy aid fitting.
- Rule of play are displayed on poolside.
- Late entrants will not be permitted due to the essential safety briefing
- Bookings may only be made by those aged over 16 years of age.
- Parents/Guardians with children under 8 years old must be in the pool to supervise at all times, but may not go on the inflatable. Only adults supervising will be allowed in the pool.
- Any child under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult who will remain responsible for the welfare of that child at all times during the inflatable session. The lead person making the party / group booking will be agreeing the Terms and Conditions on behalf of all inflatable use
- In order to cancel a booking a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to the start of the session must be given. Cancellations of parties / group bookings will require 7 days’ notice prior to the start of the session. All sessions are non-refundable. We can offer a credit voucher if notified of the cancellation within the time frame above.
Please note that this is a premium session and is discounted for junior members and swimming lesson participants.

Holiday activities
At Waendel Leisure Centre, we are here to keep your little ones active and happy during the holidays by offering fun activities for them to enjoy.
Holiday Activities
Research from Sport England suggests that less than half of children partake in the recommended level of daily exercise, and we’re on a mission to change that!
NPLQ Course
NPLQ stands for National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and is widely accepted by swimming pools in the UK and Ireland as a minimum qualification as a role of a lifeguard within the swimming pool.
The NPLQ covers all elements of Pool Rescue Techniques, Lifeguarding Theory, First Aid and CPR. The course is physically demanding and will include swimming to set times, lifting casualties and diving to the deepest part of the swimming pool. Training and assessment for the NPLQ are in three sections, and candidates must successfully pass all to attain the qualification.

Active Inflatable Pool party
Make a splash and celebrate their birthday with our fun filled pool party!
- Under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 2 under 8’s to 1 adult.
- You have one hour of activity and then you can have your food and birthday cake in a private room which will be set up with tables and chairs.
- Suitable for 5+ years. Maximum age is 15 years.
- The activity hour will include a short safety briefing and buoyancy aid fitting.
- Maximum 40 children
*Please note that food is not provided by us, and use of the free food room is optional.

- Saturdays, 5.30pm - 6.30pm (pool) and 6.30pm - 7.30pm (food room)
- Duration: 2 hours (with food room)

Pool party
Make a splash and celebrate their birthday with our fun filled pool party. Under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 2 under 8’s to 1 adult. For the younger children the Splashpad will be available. Our pool can be lowered to different depths so is suitable for all ages!
Maximum 30 children. Suitable for under 10 years
*Please note that food is not provided by us, and use of the free food room is optional.

- Saturdays, 4.00pm – 5.00pm (pool) and 6.00pm – 7.00pm (food
room) - Duration: 2 hours (with food room)
