A bit about our classes

They're social, fun and a really good workout.  Our classes range from low impact to the more intense and guide you through every step with our fantastic instructors.  You can enjoy it with a friend or meet new people each week.

A class is a great way to improve your health and fitness and you can fit one in around your busy schedule.  And the good news is that they can all be booked online.  It’s an ideal way of getting friends together and having immense fun in the name of exercise.

Members on our dual site memberships can also make use of classes at our sister site Places Gym.

Classes and Places Locker

Places Locker is our app for all things active.  It's perfect for tracking your activity and it allows you to book online wherever you are.  You earn MOVES for all the activity that you complete each week, build training programmes and review progress. Did you know a one hour class could earn you 833 MOVES.

Here is a list of classes we offer!

BodyAttack TM/ BodyAttack Express – The original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and results you came for – fast!

BodyCombat/ BodyCombat Express – This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, Boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness. This class is not suitable during any stage of pregnancy.

BodyPump/ BodyPump Express – The original barbell workout to that shapes and tones your entire body through low weight and high reps.

BodyBalance TM – This Yoga, Tai chi and Pilates workout builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm.

Les Mills Core – this class provides a seriously challenging and effective workout. This session will tighten and tone your body, improve functional strength and assist in injury prevention like nothing else.

Legs, Bums and Tums – A fun and easy to follow class targeting all of those problem areas!

RPM Virtual - The indoor cycling class is set to the rhythm of motivating music. It burns a lot of calories; gets you fit and leaves you feeling euphoric.

Group Cycling – Our exciting, instructor led indoor cycling classes are perfect for beginners to serious cyclists. A fantastic calories burner.

Forever Active – Suitable for older adults, pre and post natal and those new to exercise. Forever Active is a low impact keep fit class with an extended warm up to maintain and improve co-ordination, flexibility, strength and fitness.

Forever Active Aqua/ Aquafit - A total body workout. Aquafit ensures that you use every muscle in your body by using the water as resistance. The water takes out the impact of the moves and you can work at your own level and achieve results!

Teen Zumba – suitable for ages 11-15 year olds. Party yourself into shape. A fun, empowering and energising class which combines salsa, cumbia, the cha cha cha, hip hop and many more in easy-to-follow routines.

GRIT - a high intensity interval training workout with great music, challenging moves and options to suit all levels. Guaranteed to give you a big dose of endorphins and make you feel awesome.

Circuits - an exciting mix of body weight and external weighted total body conditioning exercise – resulting in a full body workout.

Sh’Bam - Featuring simple but seriously hot dance moves. SH’BAM is the perfect way to shape up and let out your inner star – even if dance isn’t your natural thing. Set to a soundtrack of chart-topping popular hits, dance music heard in the world’s hottest nightclubs, familiar classics remixed and modernized Latin beats.

Pilates - Mat work Pilates using modified exercises to gradually restore functional movement and build spinal, pelvis and core stability.

Yoga or Power Chi Yoga - A mindful and accessible class, exploring the essentials of yoga through stability, breath and flow.

Group cycling

Ride like the wind with our group cycling classes. You’ll feel like you’ve had a workout with one of these sessions.

Studio classes

Offering a range of intensities from gentle and relaxing to a more intensive workout, you’ll be able to find a class that suits you.

Pool classes

Classes range from gentle to high impact so you can work hard and enjoy the support of the pool improving strength and fitness.

Les Mills

Les Mills classes are enjoyed all over the world and include Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Balance, Body Attack and Sh’bam.
