Pool info

We have two pools to enjoy at Dover District Leisure Centre - our main County Standard Pool and our teaching pool.

Main County Standard Pool
Length: 25m
Lanes: 8

We are proud to have an 8 lane, 25 metre County Standard pool which was built for the community of Dover District and surrounding areas. Due to being a County Standard Pool, this does mean that it is in high demand for competition galas as it is one of the few pools in the County that can accommodate them.

Gala season begins between September to March and so we close the steam and sauna area if there are more than 150 participants in a Gala. The steam and sauna will remain open if there are less than 150 participants. As well as that, when the pool is closed for a Gala, swim only members are offered free use of the gym / virtual spin studio.

During pool events, our car park will be busier than usual and so we ask clubs to recommend to participants to car share where possible.
As well as competition Galas, our pool also hosts events like birthday parties, holistic events, capsize training for wing clubs and school swimming sessions.

SWIMTAG

SWIMTAG is the latest, waterproof wearable technology that helps you track your swim strokes, lengths, times and calories burned. You can enter challenges and competitions to compete against other swimmers or your own personal best.

SWIMTAG is free for members. Simply sign up for SWIMTAG at reception, or via the link below.
