Sports at Andover Leisure Centre
From booking a court with friends or learning a sport for the first time our centre has something that’s right for you. We work hard with the National Governing Bodies of a number of sports to fill our facilities with ideas that are fun and engaging.
Most of our sports are available to book online.
To do this you'll either need to be a member, or sign up for a free Places Membership.
Badminton
Badminton is an easy sport to learn and can be a very social game. The speed of the shuttlecock also makes this one of the quickest of the racket sports. It can be played at any pace making it enjoyable for all ages.

Football
At Andover Leisure Centre, we offer two indoor football pitches that can be hired out on both a one-off or regular basis. Bookings are available all week and can be made online.
Pickleball
Pickleball is a new exciting sport which combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It is a fun and competitive way to exercise, suitable for all levels of ability.

Join us for our drop-in Pickleball sessions!
- Tuesdays, 10.00am - 12.00pm
- Thursdays, 9.30am - 12.30pm (badminton and pickleball)
- Thursdays, 2.00pm - 4.00pm
- Rackets and balls available
- All ages and abilities welcome
These sessions are non-bookable. Just come along and give it a go!
Squash
Squash is a fast sport that works you harder than most. Both squash and racket ball (same court, bigger racket, bigger ball) can be enjoyed from 5 years to adults. Occupying and moving in the same space as your opponent adds to the challenge of this sport.
We offer squash coaching for all ages and abilities through AMN coaching for more information, send an email.
Squash is included within the Premium membership offering and can be booked online.

Other sports
We offer a wide range of other sports and activities at our centre, with courts and pitches available to hire by both members and non-members; bookings can be made online. This includes:

We also offer a range of activities and clubs for our older adult members and visitors at Andover Leisure Centre.

Peter Pan Club
Dedicated to the over 50's, this three hour session includes badminton, table tennis and swimming.
Times:
- Monday: 9.00am - 12.00pm
- Wednesday: 9.00am - 12.00pm
Prices:

Older adults swim
A quieter lane swim session for older adults. Included in the Premium and Wellbeing membership offering and available on a pay as you go basis.
Times:
- Monday: 11.15am - 11.55am
- Wednesday: 11.30am - 12.00pm

There are a number of sports clubs at Andover Leisure Centre that are always on the lookout for new members.

Here are some of the clubs that use our facilities;
Kick-A-Bout
Kick-A-Bout’s coaching courses offer a fun and alternative approach to football training for children. We provide individually tailored courses for different age groups, ranging from 3 and upwards.
We encourage the children to use their imaginations by incorporating fancy dress and visual props into story-telling sessions. Each part of the story relates to a different football game. In a typical session the children can find themselves running from monsters, collecting hidden treasure or racing in police cars!
Running Sundays 9.00am - 12.00pm
Gemini Netball Club
We provide training sessions and holiday camps led by experienced, qualified coaches. We are currently open to children in years 3-8.
Running Mondays 4.00pm - 7.00pm
Judo/Jujitsu
International Bushido Association has been training and teaching traditional Japanese Judo & Ju-jitsu at the Andover Leisure Centre since 1976.
Running Wednesdays 7.00pm - 9.00pm
Junior badminton
Top class coaching from our excellent team of friendly and personable coaches.
Our coaching team consists of Badminton England accredited coaches (levels 1 and 2) with a wealth of experience and knowledge between them.
Running Fridays 4.00pm - 7.00pm
360 Degree Sports Coaching
360 Degree Sports Coaching aims to deliver sport for all and to develop sport in both schools and the local community.
Our holiday camps offer a wide range of activities from sports to crafts to baking to ensure that every child is catered for.
Andover & District Netball Association
We are a friendly but competitive league and have a strong support system to develop players who wish to begin officiating.
Running Thursdays 6.45pm - 9.45pm.
Perform
Confidence building fun.
We use a unique mix of drama, dance & singing to bring out every child's potential.
Classes and courses are kept small to ensure lots of individual attention by our experienced teachers. They'll focus on your child's enthusiasm and engagement in the activities. And they'll be with your child every step of the way to guide, inspire and encourage.
