We're refreshing our Swimming sessions

We’re making some exciting updates to some of our swimming sessions at our Northumberland centres. These changes align our swim sessions with the rest of our Places Leisure centres to make your experience more streamlined, more familiar, and easier to navigate.

When are the changes happening?

From Monday 1st September 2025, you’ll start to see new session names on our timetables, booking system, and around our centres.

What's new?

Below we have listed the exciting new sessions coming to your centre, along with the previous session name so you can easily find a swim suited to you.

Lane Swim

Designed for swimmers who previously enjoyed Adult Swim or Lane Swim (Slow, Medium, or Fast) sessions

A bookable sessions ideal for those wanting to swim for fitness. A structured lane swimming session available to anyone that is able to swim lengths.

Just Swim

Designed for swimmers who previously enjoyed Swim for All sessions

An open bookable session for those who want to swim and have fun (there will be minimal or no lanes). Under 8s need to be supervised (one adult to two under 8s). You can arrive and leave at any time during the session.  

Family Swim

Designed for swimmers who previously enjoyed Swim for All sessions

Designed with families in mind. Enjoy a Family swim together with other families. Under 8s need to be supervised (one adult to two under 8s). You can arrive and leave at any time during the session.

Family Fun

Designed for swimmers who previously enjoyed Fun for All sessions

Designed with families in mind. A fun swim session in our pool with toys and/ or floats. Under 8s need to be supervised (one adult to two under 8s). You can arrive and leave at any time during the session.
