Falls Prevention

Guidance for healthcare professionals

Falls and fall-related injuries pose a significant and serious issue for older adults. Public Health England estimates that Fall Prevention yields a social return on investment of £2.28 for every £1 invested.

Places Leisure’s Falls Prevention Programme aims to reduce incidences of falls alongside improve physical health, reduce social isolation, and promote independence. By identifying at-risk individuals, we can provide targeted interventions, with our approach meeting the 50-hour "minimum dose" that research has shown is necessary for the prevention of falls.
