Sports at Hinckley Leisure Centre
From booking a court with friends or learning a sport for the first time our centre has something that’s right for you. We work hard with the National Governing Bodies of a number of sports to fill our facilities with ideas that are fun and engaging.
Most of our sports are available to book online.
To do this you'll either need to be a member, or sign up for a free Places Membership.
Badminton
Badminton is an easy sport to learn and can be a very social game. The speed of the shuttlecock also makes this one of the quickest of the racket sports. It can be played at any pace making it enjoyable for all ages.
We offer No Strings sessions for all ages - all sessions can be booked via the timetable below.
Please be aware that the court number you book is subject to change on arrival and you must sign in at reception.
Badminton at Hinckley Leisure Centre
No Strings Badminton
120 minutes of 'you time' on a badminton court – time to socialise, to de-stress, to keep fit, to compete, to challenge yourself.
• Wednesdays 7.00pm - 9.00pm 16+
• Sundays 10.00am - 12.00pm 16+
£5.90 per session
All levels of badminton experience welcome - no matter what your skills are with the racket!
Pickleball
Pickleball is a racket or paddle sport that uses elements of tennis and is played on the same court as Badminton. A fun game that is easy to learn and hard to master. Pickleball has seen a recent uptake in popularity and it can be played in pairs or doubles.
We have availability and sessions for all ages and abilities!

- A variety of sessions available throughout the week and weekends
Junior Pickleball
Join our new classes, and learn the skills and how to play pickleball, with our fully qualified pickleball instructor. This course is suitable for all abilities and those aged 5 - 14 years old.

Other sports available at Hinckley Leisure Centre
Basketball
Our basketball courses develop basketball fundamentals, undergo fitness and endurance exercises and learn various basketball skills. Basketball students learn proper ways of passing, ball handling, dribbling, shooting from various distances, rebounding, basketball rules and basketball ethics.
Junior basketball
We run junior basketball courses for children aged 5-14 years old.
- Sundays from 2:30-3:30pm
- £31.00 per month plus a £15 joining fee
- Open to all abilities and genders
Adult basketball pay and play sessions
- Tuesdays from 8.00pm-9.00pm for ages 14+
- Simply pay and play sessions
- £5.90 per hour
