Places Leisure is made up of people who care about making a difference in their communities. They are passionate about creating active places and healthy people for communities to thrive . This is crucial work for our society. No matter what your job title or where you work in the organisation, everyone plays a vital role in making sure our frontline team can deliver the best possible service.

We prize moral courage – the preparedness to do the right thing, however hard, to be accountable and never to walk on by or turn a blind eye. Transparency and honesty are key enablers to this. We care deeply about our people and we expect everyone always is treated with kindness, empathy, dignity and respect. Trust need not be earned: everyone is trusted from the outset. Training opportunities

Beyond our world class career development programme we also offer the opportunity to upskill your professional qualifications. As an IQL approved training centre we run many courses to help you with developing a career within the leisure industry. These courses are run not only for our new and existing team members but also for the local community.

Gender pay gap report

Companies employing 250 people or more are required to publish a Gender Pay Gap report each year. The report must contain certain statistics that seek to measure the gender pay gap. These statistics must also be provided to the Government.  

Led by our culture and values, we go above the requirements and report on gender pay across the whole organisation, regardless of size, as well as fulfil our legal obligations.

Our latest Gender Pay Gap report, as at 5 April 2022, outlines gender pay across the organisation, as well as the breakdown for our companies which must legally publish their data.

What is the gender pay gap? 

The gender pay gap is a measure of the difference between the average pay of men and women across the same organisation. It is not the same as equal pay, which relates to men and women being paid equally for equal work or work of equal value. This has been a legal requirement for many years and a matter of principle that we are committed to.
