For many, September is the time to hit the reset button – back to work, back to school and back to daily routines after the summer holidays. As we all move forward into the autumn and winter ahead, why not refresh your fitness routine and try something new? You’ll be having fun and boosting your immunity as well as your mental wellbeing all winter long.
Dr. Laurie Santos, Professor of Psychology at Yale University, turns to the subject of ‘fun’ in the new season of her enormously popular podcast The Happiness Lab. In a recent interview she notes, “What we know from fun, is that fun can be so important for our wellbeing. Fun and playfulness can boost your immune function – playfulness can boost your mood; it can protect your mental health. And, it can lead to less burnout over time. It’s one of the easiest interventions we have for building up our mental health – we just don’t realize how powerful fun really is.”

Using the gym will put you on the right path to building muscle and toning up, strengthening your core, increasing stamina, and improving your cardiovascular fitness and wellbeing. Whatever your goals, our instructors and personal trainers are ready to help.
