Charity running for: Muscular Dystrophy UK
Fundraising link: Just Giving
I’ve wanted to run the London Marathon ever since I was little as I’ve watched my mum do it 3 times. I’m now 19 and running it myself this year for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
I’m running in memory of my older brother, Jordan, who passed away in 2016 at the age of 21 because of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Although Muscular Dystrophy is getting more recognition, it’s still not very well known about. The money I raise will go towards care and support to those with muscular dystrophy, specialist healthcare to improve the lives of those with muscular dystrophy, treatment needs and many other things.
I was just 14 when my brother passed away and really struggled to come to terms with his death, I want to do whatever I can to help those with the condition as I know how horrible it is.
