Customer car parking information

Why do we have the car parking restrictions?

The parking restrictions were brought in on the recommendation of the local residents and residents association to avoid the car park being abused and to discourage anti-social behavior in the evenings.   This also prepares us for the time when the development work on the other field opposite takes place, at that point our car parking spaces will become under increased pressure and we run the risk of Centre customers not being able to park.

How does the system work?

The system is not linked to our membership base. MET parking are an external car parking management company who manage the car park on our behalf. This system is not in place to generate additional income for Waltham Abbey Leisure Centre, we pay MET parking for their services.

It is the customers responsibility to enter their car registration details correctly each time, and to abide by the parking regulations. If tickets are issued, the centre team are unable to contest them on your behalf, all contact must be made with MET parking directly.

Thank you for your feedback, here’s a couple of improvements we have been able to make..

Several adjustments have been made in recent weeks based on customer feedback to make the process smoother.  We have increased the maximum stay to 3.5 hours and reduced the non-return period to 1 hour.  The time limit for customers to log their details has also been increased to 15 minutes.  An additional iPad is available on reception to speed up the process at busy times.

We would like to remind all customers to take care to log their car registration each time they visit the Centre.  Please remember to press submit after you have entered your registration and wait for the green confirmation with your correct registration displayed.
