How much is entry the lido?

What are the opening hours?
- 06.00 am – 7.45 pm From 1st May – 31st August
- 06.00 am – 4.45 pm From the 1st September - 30th September
*Entry into the pool is 06.00 am or dawn, dependent on light
- 10.00 am – 6.00 pm From 1st May – 31st August (Weather Dependent)
Does the pool still open during wet weather?
Yes. However in the event of bad weather the pool is cleared at the sound of thunder or sight of lighting and will remain closed until 30 minutes after the last incidence of thunder/lightning.
What is the supervision policy?
Children under 8 must be supervised in the water and changing rooms by a parent or
adult (16+). A maximum of 2 children under 8 is permitted per parent / adult.
Is there parking?
The car park serves to the common and the lido.
The car park is not managed by the Lido however the lido is within easy walking distance of Tooting Bec Station.
Entrance can be found 100 metres down the path.
Do you have lockers?
Yes Lockers for small valuables are available behind reception
Is the pool chlorinated?
We have automatic chemical dosing and filtration system to ensure the pool is clean and safe to swim.
Please follow our pre-swim hygiene guidance by showering and using the toilet facilities before you go swimming.
Can I wear a wet suit?
Wet suits are allowed, and will enable you to swim for longer. They are not compulsory at any time of year
Do you have busy periods?
This is normally weather dependent.
During warmer periods of weather the lido can reach full capacity earlier on in the day. We will then operate on a 1 in 1 out system.
Please factor into your visit that there might be an unpreventable wait/queues for entry into the Lido.
There will be advice on our customer notice boards at the entrance. Plus notifications can be found on our Facebook/Twitter pages & website.
Can I leave the lido and come back later in the afternoon?
No re admission under any circumstance
Can I bring food & drink?
Yes food is allowed.
No glass bottles or alcohol is permitted on the premises.
We also have a Café on site which provides food and snacks. (Cash payments Only)
Security checks will be made upon entering the lido
Can I bring tent/ or pop up chairs? Is there places to sit?
Tents & chairs are not permitted on the premise. We have a café area which has table and chairs plus we have a small green area located near the paddling pool, a sunbathing area and shaded area towards the deep end of the pool.
What is the pool temperature?
The temperature of the water varies with the seasons. In summer it can reach 22°C.
How big is the pool?
Main Pool- Length: 91.5 metres
Depth- (0.9 - 2.1 metres)
Paddling Pool- Length: 19.5 meters
Depth (0-0.5 metres)
Are inflatables allowed?
Small inflatable’s are allowed
Can I smoke?
No smoking at the pool apart from designated area
Do you have swimming membership?
Yes we have a monthly Swimming Membership option.
You get access to Tooting Bec Lido during the summer season plus to the 4 pools all year around Wandsworth including:
- Balham Leisure Centre
- Tooting Leisure Centre
- Latchmere Leisure Centre
- Putney Leisure Centre
Is the lido available to hire?
Yes this is possible. Tooting Bec Lido’s Pavilion is a lovely 100m2 sports studio for hire for workout and exercise classes overlooking the Lido.The Pavilion can also be hired for children’s parties, community events,meetings and seminars. All enquiries for bookings please email email@example.com
