Congratulations to the £1000 App Challenge winner at Melksham Blue Pool Wiltshire
Congratulations to Paul Biggin, member at Melksham Blue Pool (Places for People site in Wiltshire) for being our latest App Challenge Winner and pocketing a substantial £1000 prize.
The Places Locker App was launched in 2017 with the aim of supporting people to move more and get active. It promotes new workouts, offers challenges to aid motivation, enables online booking and pairs with a range of “wearables” so you can track how active you are.
Paul has been a member of Melksham Blue Pool for the past 11 months and goes to the gym 4 times a week and does Aqua Fit with his wife. A healthy lifestyle is really important to Paul following a heart attack 2 years ago - he says “I have had a lot of help from the fitness instructors, they always have time for you…I’m really chuffed to have won.” In addition to getting fitter he has also been focusing on eating more healthily and has lost weight since joining the Gym, going from 15 stone 7lb to just over 13 stone. Paul plans to buy some new shorts and trainers for the gym and save some of the money.
Sarah Harryman, General Manager of Melksham Blue Pool said
“Paul is a great winner, his fitness journey and results have been incredible, a true testament to why we all do this job, it's great when we see someone succeed and achieve what he has. The support that Paul has received from all of the staff has obviously encouraged him in his pursuit of a healthier fitter lifestyle. A truly worthy winner."
The Place Locker App Is free to all members, including “pay as you go” Places Members. Simply join online or at the centre to be given an activation link for the app. Keep your eyes peeled for future challenges.
