Congratulations Mohammad and Elouise!
Places Leisure Camberley's swimmer and gymnast of the year
After a challenging 2022 we wanted to round the year off with some good news stories. We asked all of our Swimming and Gymnastics Teachers to nominate those distinctive, very special people who deserved a bit of recognition.
They were asked to identify swimmers and gymnasts on our lesson programmes (children and adults) who have displayed positive attitudes, unyielding determination or, have put in efforts over and above their peers. They may have overcome personal adversity or achieved something unexpected or challenging.
Mohammad Hussain - Places Leisure Camberley's Swimmer of the Year 2022
Nominated by Sport and Programming Manager, Philip Duncan
Mohammad has had challenge after challenge, but he always steps up and puts 100% effort into every lesson.
Mohammad is deaf as well as diabetic which affects his energy levels, but he never ceases to amaze the teaching staff with his effort and willingness to learn.
Well done Mohammad!
Elouise Phelen - Places Leisure Camberley's Gymnast of the Year 2022
Nominated by Junior Activities Instructor, Amanda Williams
Elouise is doing amazing in gymnastics. She works well practicing on her own and is good at encouraging her team mates.
She has shown some leadership skills and is a pleasure to teach.
