High Places are not responsible for participants belongings. Larger lockers are available within the changing rooms opposite the Main Hall at Pavilions In The Park and small valuables lockers will be available at the High Places course. A £1 coin is required for lockers which is refundable. Loose items, cameras, phones, wallets are not permitted on the course. Make sure you have nothing in your pockets.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time of your activity, make your way to the High Places cabin and make yourselves known to the High Places team. Late arrivals will not be able to join once the safety briefing has started and refunds will not be issued for missed sessions.

Is there parking?

Yes, there are 4 car parks located around Horsham Park, all of which operate pay and display parking. These are off Hurst Road, North Street, Springfield Road and Albion Way next to the Horsham Superbowl. High Places is also just a short walk across the park from the town centre and Swan Walk shopping centre car park.

What about bad weather?

We run in most weather conditions and do not offer refunds unless we have to close the course. Course closure will only occur in very high winds and thunder and lightning. If your session is cancelled due to bad weather we will offer the opportunity to re-book for another time or issue a refund.

What is your cancellation policy?

Amendments to your booking can be made up to 24 hours in advance by calling 01403 219219. Refunds will only be given on medical grounds with appropriate evidence such as a doctors note. In the event of the course being closed for bad weather, see above, or safety then we will offer the opportunity to move your booking or offer a full refund.

Can I get a refund if I don’t finish the course?

Unfortunately refunds cannot be issued once the safety briefing has commenced and you have been kitted up in your harness.

Medical Conditions / Disabilities

Participants need to be able to support their own body weight and be able to understand instruction to be able to take part. If participants require an adult or carer to support them to complete the activity then this person will need to pay the full price for the activity. You must inform us of any medical conditions that may affect your ability to complete the course. Ultimately the decision will be down to the instructors. If you have any concerns or would like to discuss this please contact High Places on 01403 219219 before making a booking.

What if I’m pregnant?

We do not advise taking part if you are pregnant. Please consult your Doctor for more information.

How fit do I need to be?

There are no real guidelines on this. You should be able to support your own body weight and move freely around the course.

I’m nervous about the height?

Most people have this nervousness about being up high. The challenge is to confront this and overcome it. Your friends will help you to do this on the way round and our instructors are always on hand with some great tips and ideas for helping out should you need it.

Can anyone watch?

Yes parents, friends and family can watch from the ground area and provide encouragement. Please stay in the spectator area and refrain from walking around and under the course area which must be kept clear.

How long does it take?

This varies depending on the package you have booked and the number of participants on the course. Allow approximately 90 minutes for our largest package (The Ultimate) with other packages taking less time. You will get a minimum of one turn on each of the elements that are included within your package. If time permits, additional turns may be facilitated but this can not be guaranteed.

What about safety?

You will be supplied with a harness and helmet at your safety briefing to wear whilst you are on the course.

Please follow our instructors directions when putting these on. Our instructors will check for fit and that they are secure before you access the course.

Our course operates on a continuous rail system, our instructors will secure you to the rail and release you from it once you return to the platform at the end.

All of our instructors are ERCA qualified and DBS checked. They have received full training in safety of the course and instruction to help participants negotiate the course. They are also fully trained in emergency rescues from the course.

The course is checked daily to the highest nationally recognised safety standards. First Aid trained members of staff will be on site.

Will my group have exclusive use of the course?

Our ropes course can take 24 participants at a time. If there are only a few of you it is likely that you will be grouped with other people. However, you will be able to stay with your mates and follow each other around.
