Train for your next triathlon

Want to take part in a triathlon?

Join the Glossop Triathlon Club today and start training for your next triathlon with friendly coaches and team members. The club is currently running their Winter Training Schedule through the week for all monthly paying members. You can either pay a monthly fee of £15 or pay as you go. (£15/month). 

Training Programme

Tuesday - Outdoor Run with Glossopdale Harriers. Starting at various locations around Glossop these sessions are run for all abilities and include pace.

Wednesday - Turbo Cycle Training at Glossop Leisure Centre

(7-8 pm)

Structured interval training that focuses on a number of key areas – such as strength efforts, threshold, aerobic capacity, VO2 Max and cadence (your pedalling rate per minute) drills. 


Thursday - Strength & Conditioning

to improve strength, core stability and endurance. These sessions are run solely for Club members and concentrate on key muscle groups and ensuring flexibility, with training aimed at preventing injury by balancing out exercises on specific areas of the body.

Sunday morning - Social Rides

Varying lengths for all abilities often including a coffee stop.

Sunday evening - Pool Swim Training at Glossop Pool

(6-7 pm)

where the Club has access to all 4 lanes and caters for all abilities in structured coached sessions. These work on technique drills, pacing, sprint and endurance. Using personal times (Critical Swim Speeds) the sessions are designed so members can train at their own optimum level throughout the 1 hour session.
