Here are some descriptions of classes that you may be less familiar with:

  • Active Hearts: This session is open to all Exercise Referral to include Obesity, Diabetes, Stroke and Cardiac Rehabilitation Scheme participants as well as an ongoing solution to promote a long term healthy and active lifestyle.
  • Steady and Strong: This session combines day to day functional movement, strength improvement and will also focus on motor skills and balance.
  • Tai Chi: A stress relieving mind and body class.
  • Easy Group Cycle: A 45 min gentle instructor led indoor cycling class aimed at beginners or those returning to exercise. A great way to increase cardio fitness with no impact on joints and remaining seated throughout.
  • Easy Aquafit: A class for all exercise referrals and low risk conditions. Participants are supported by the water in an instructor led class.
  • Easy Legs, Bums Tums: A gentler version of the old favourite. For anyone new to exercise or needing a gentler option before moving on to the regular group workout classes
  • Mum and Baby-Legs Bums Tums: Focusing on post-natal recovery as well as social and mental health benefits. No childcare needed. Mum and baby can attend together and exercise takes place while baby enjoys the music from their car seat or buggy.
  • Parent and Baby Group Cycling: Sessions are 30 min and will be designed to assist post-natal recovery or as a social interaction to promote mental health wellbeing for parents without the need for childcare. Babies are required to be in buggies or car seats during the class.
  • Junior Fitness Class (Age 7-11): This will be targeted to work on cardio and bodyweight moves that will improve health, address obesity issues and general fitness levels of school age children.
  • Cancer Rehabilitation Class will be added in April. This is a circuit style class tailored for the individual when they have just been diagnosed with Cancer, during treatment or in remission.
